Rest, Retirement or Recuperation

A tailor made service for horses in need of some TLC, this may be a change of scene psychologically or of physical environment.

The happy, relaxed atmosphere balanced with the structured routine of Dun Daraich has played a significant role in working with many horses to change behaviours that had previously troubled their owner, it can also provide the over stressed horse with a much needed break to help regain balance of body, mind and soul. This can usefully be incorporated with balancing your own equilibrium at the same time, details about Equine Assisted Self Exploration (EASE) for horsepeople on the Courses Page.

The retired horse can be catered for providing their owner with peace of mind.

The sand and gravel areas can provide restricted turnout for horses recovering from injury or a suitable environment to aid in the transition from shod to unshod or barefoot horse as well as in the treatment of conditions such as laminitis, foot abscesses, mud fever etc please consult your vet  or farrier if you think a change of environment may aid your horse’s recovery.

We are happy to quote current charges or discuss any of the above in more detail
please use contact page to outline your horse’s requirements or with your enquiry.
