Morag Higgins - Equido One Day Course on Ground Work & Handling
Morag has also been a constant and regular visiting trainer, instructor and source of much inspiration and hilarity! She is great with children and adults alike. During 2006 - 2007 the age range of riders at Dun Daraich tended to be on the young side for Clinics previously hosted so instead the FUN DAY was born with school holidays being marked by Fancy Dress, Games, Competitions and BBQs (See Gallery Page to see just how much fun!) As not enough interest was being expressed by others locally to continue hosting clinics at Dun Daraich we ventured out and about attending clinics hosted elsewhere including those by Morag Higgins, Mark Rashid, Lesley Desmond, Peggy Cummings and Perry’s of course! We also began study of Morag's Equido Course in earnest (more details on her website - check out links page!) and continued to have her visit on a regular basis to give lessons and advise on any horse related problems or should that be human related problems our horse's were encountering - she really is a mine of information, knowledge and good sound practical solutions.
Dun Daraich Trainers
Lynda Addis and Carrie Daly are the other people to join Dun Daraich’s list of favourite trainers. Lynda’s extensive experience and knowledge across the disciplines as a BHS Accredited Riding and Pony Club Instructor instils confidence and vibrancy in both horse and rider that really brings sparkle to her lessons. Carrie brings to her lessons her unique and diverse experience of various disciplines including her time spent working and training with Margaret Hansen (Trainer and International Dressage Judge) and encourages good communication between horse and rider. Both Lynda and Carrie excel in their teaching of the nervous adult rider.
