Dun Daraich Stables

Dun Daraich Stables, BHS Approved Livery Yard and member of the BHS Scotland Horses Welcome scheme (www.horseswelcome.org) nestles peacefully in Glen Finart, Ardentinny and was established as a family run livery yard in 2004 in response to the needs of horse owners in the area. Our own horses have been an established herd at Dun Daraich since 1999. 

What’s on offer?

Dun Daraich meets the needs of visiting horse owners, wishing to bring their horse on holiday with them and explore the beauty of the glen from horse back, as well as those living locally. We offer the full range of services from D.I.Y. to full livery. Owners who keep their horses elsewhere may also livery their horse with us on a short term or temporary basis while they are away on holiday or business.

Training facilities are available for use by all liveries and for hire by outside individuals or groups. Specialist facilities for the convalescing horse are also available such as gravel and sand areas particularly suited to the management of the laminitic horse or pony allowing all year round turnout without grass.

Help is also available for owners experiencing difficulties with their horse’s behaviour.

We are always happy to discuss the individual needs of horse and owner and pride ourselves on a friendly atmosphere.
